The name Lasarta is derived from the Italian word /la.sar.ta/, meaning ‘the seamstress.’ We hope this memorable name comes to mind whenever you think of tailoring. For bespoke dresses, think of ‘the seamstress’, La Sarta.

Lasarta was born from a profound collaboration between two women, masters of design and tailoring. They believe that every individual deserves tailor-made clothing that reflects their unique shape and character. Empowered by a shared ethic co-working, they embody strength of mind and heart—balancing the roles of womanhood and motherhood while pursuing their dreams in design and tailoring.

Our principle is to breathe life into our customers' desires with Lasarta's distinctive style and elegant curves. Every cut and stitch is meticulously considered and placed with intention.

Our Story

Detty and Asti were once competitors as tailors in Jakarta, Indonesia. After marrying a German man, Detty decided to move to Germany and leave her passion for the batik and tailoring world behind. Later, Asti inquired about Detty's whereabouts in Germany and discovered that Asti had left home due to household problems, choosing to return to her hometown in Central Java. With the desire to assist Asti, Detty suggested the idea of opening a tailor shop together and working as business partners. Subsequently, Detty and Asti began establishing their tailor shop, La Sarta.

Erdin later entered the scene as an acquaintance of Detty whom she greatly admired. Erdin's style and confidence in styling, tailored to the natural Javanese woman yet imbued with international flair, perfectly matched Detty's vision for La Sarta's brand. This led Erdin to join the team as a marketing executive.
